Spend time with Mike Lee and you will find that he has a passion for life and finds enjoyment in whatever he is doing. While many people enjoy his laugh and energy, he secretly confided that he thinks people like to talk to him because he knows all about plumbing.
But, there is more to Mike than just being a plumber. Growing up in Wisconsin, he spent most of his free time enjoying the great outdoors. He is an avid fisherman and hunter, but, if you ask him, he will say that being surrounded by nature is the most rewarding part of his hobbies.
One of the highlights of his life was a backpacking trip he took when he was 18 years old to Banff, Canada. He loved the mountains and fishing on the shores of beautiful stream. In recent years, he has taken up road biking, mountain biking, snow shoeing and even a little scuba diving. “Being outdoors has always been an important part of my life,” Mike shares.
Having endured many long Wisconsin winters, he was ready to make the move to a milder climate. So, when his wife suggested moving back to the Pacific Northwest to be closer to her family, he embraced the opportunity!
“Living in the Pacific Northwest is like living in a dream,” he says. “It is hard to believe that I actually live in a place with so much natural beauty. I never get tired of looking at the mountains that surround this area.”
It is this natural beauty and his desire to help preserve it that gave him the idea to start Water Cents, a knowledgable plumbing company that can help local residents address their plumbing needs while also focusing on water conservation and water safety.
